Everyone knows that baby elephants play ball and this one is having fun with a very beautiful red ball. I like to create these small sculptures that fit in the hand, like a breath between two large pieces, a bit like a poet going from alexandrines to haiku!

I have returned to this theme several times. “Sokatira” means “tug of war” in Basque. These “tusk ropes” allow me to play on compositions while extending and you just have to watch baby elephants play to realize that they could participate in Basque games. A warm brown patina for this small, very slender version of the acrobatic elephants. The little one plays with the law of gravity, its paw balancing on the carrier's trunk. They look into each other's eyes, in joyful complicity.
