I took up the theme of my animal statue "elephant with a bird". The sculpture came very easily from my hands as if flowing naturally.

The elephant is talking with the bird perched on its curved trunk, giving the sculpture an airy feel. A slate gray patina highlights the baby elephant's very textured skin.

This bronze animal sculpture was made at the Harze art foundry. Four copies have already been placed in gardens, including two in the United States.
