Every new exhibition is an adventure. For the catalogue of the Musée de la Côte d’Opale, Christopher, the graphic designer, wanted the photographs taken on the beach in order to illustrate the title of the exhibition Bêtes à Musée, Sculptures in the Open Air. The photographic technique scared me and recreating an atmosphere around my sculptures was a real challenge! So I found myself lying on the beach on the Côte d’Opale waiting for a suitable wave to caress the sculpture of the Siren. The waves were sometimes a little too strong, drenching me and shaking the sculpture. I remember the shooting of the « Embarcation to Kythira » during which a seal from the Baie d’Authie came to have a good look at me and then plunged modestly back into the sea when I pointed my lens at it.
