The arena and the circus have a similar shape: the circle; but if the crowds gather around it is not entirely in the hope of the same emotion.
Those who prefer arenas hope that the bull will be defeated by man in an exhausting and dangerous fight. Those who go to the circus expect to be amazed by human beings at the skill they have shown in mastering balance. In either case, spectators will admire the exploits with beating hearts.
Here, Sophie knows how to confront us once again with our contradictions by combining animal strength and the skill of childish carelessness... without us being able to say which of the two protagonists is more to be admired.
