The three Eves

A mother carries her two daughters on her back. It’s up to everyone to imagine what they contemplate together, peacefully, in a beautiful visionary impulse. A better future for their sisters?

I like this sentence from Jean Giraudoux: “Adam firmly believes that he was chased out of the earthly paradise. Eve is not sure at all, and acts, in any case, as if she were staying there. » (Perhaps this is why Aragon considered her as the future of man!)

The somewhat “Egyptian” sculpture at the base ends in long necks encircled with rings. To model it, I used this beautiful sandstone from the Normandy Oise, the deposits of which are unfortunately no longer exploited.

This large sculpture was presented in 2014 as part of the exhibitions “MUSEE A CIEL OUVERT” in Saulieu, “EQUILIBRE” in the main courtyard of the Sorbonne-Panthéon and during a “ Printemps de la sculpture “ in Chantilly.
